HOW IT STARTED
A common vision, firmly anchored in faith, experience, and devotion to the holy Himalayas, gave rise to Yemeri Yatra.
A well-known and esteemed figure in Uttarakhand’s pilgrimage tourism industry, Shri Chandra Singh Rathour, was the one who initially planted the seeds for this adventure. Since 1986, Chandra Singh Rathour Ji, a former manager at Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN), has been involved in planning spiritual pilgrimages to Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, and even Kailash Mansarovar. He became a mentor to innumerable yatris thanks to his decades of practical experience in high-altitude logistics and his unparalleled local knowledge.When he teamed up with his son, Ishwar Singh Rathour, a fervent traveler and spiritual devotee who had been leading Adi Kailash Yatras himself for years, his vision gained fresh impetus in 2016. Ishwar saw the mountains as a spiritual calling rather than merely a place to visit. YemeriYatra is a company founded by a father and son that is based on dharma, service, and purpose in addition to business.
They came to see that although a large number of pilgrims were keen to visit these hallowed locations, very few had access to reliable direction, secure transportation, and experiences that would deepen their spirituality. Chandra Singh Rathour is a highly respected name in the field of spiritual Himalayan tourism. As the founder of YemeriYatra and a former manager at Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN), he brings over three decades of hands-on experience in organizing and managing sacred pilgrimages to Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, and even Kailash Mansarovar.
Beginning his journey in 1986, Mr. Rathour has played a key role in shaping the infrastructure and traveler experience across the Kumaon region.he served as the camp in charge at several critical base camps, including Budhi, Gunji, Kutti, Nabhi Dhang, Kalapani, and Jyolingkong—offering seamless support and guidance to thousands of pilgrims across these challenging Himalayan terrains.

Ishwar Singh Rathour, co-founder of YemeriYatra, is a seasoned travel guide with a strong link to the hallowed Himalayas. Mr. Rathour hails from the Kumaon area of Uttarakhand and has been guiding spiritual yatra to Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, and other remote Himalayan destinations since 2016.
There is no one with more than 8 years of continuous hands-on experience as a spiritual companion for pilgrims, adventurers and seekers. With a calm presence, a deep understanding of local culture and history and a genuine devotion to serving travelers makes every journey safe and meaningful. Mr. Rathor’s goal is to help travelers transform their experiences of beauty into a deeper realised spiritual connection.
He walked the sacred trails numerous times, allowing him to understand not only the geography, but the sacred energy that exists in every stone, river and mountain in the region. He has been frequently going for dharshan of ADI KAILASH AND Oum PARWAT SINCE 2013 TO 2019 by foot from village Sirka , via gala , Budi ,Gunji , kuti ,jolingkong – ADI KAILASH , Kala Pani via Nabhi Dang – Om parwat and thereafter from 2021 going for dharshan by Road.

Harish Raypa is a respected local resident of Bundi village in Dharchula, located near the Indo-Nepal border in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. He is a dedicated member of our yatra team and an international trader with long-standing business relations across India, Tibet, and Nepal.
Harish Ji has deep-rooted knowledge of the Himalayan terrain and has been closely associated with the Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra for several years. His understanding of high-altitude routes, local customs, and the challenges of remote travel makes him a valuable asset to our operations.
In addition to supporting the yatra logistically, he runs a well-maintained homestay in Bundi. This provides pilgrims with a chance to experience local hospitality, cultural warmth, and comfortable lodging before they continue their sacred journey.
His presence ensures that our yatris receive authentic local guidance, logistical efficiency, and personal care, especially in high-altitude and border areas. Whether it’s helping with transport coordination, lodging, or emergency needs, Harish Ji is always ready with a smile and a solution.
